Reputation - The best way to find a good tradesperson

If you open the phone book or search the internet you will be inundated with tradies in your local area. But how do you know which ones are reliable, trustworthy tradespeople with the skills and experience you need to complete your work in a timely and cost effective manner?

Word of mouth is how! Over our many years in operation a tradie will have built a network of happy customers who make sure to not just let them know how happy they are with the work that's been completed, but also tell all their local family and friends too.

A good tradesperson ensures that they are not only at the top of their trade by keeping their skills updated, but also that they, and the people they employ make customer satisfaction their number one priority.

Another place to look to ensure your plumber has a good reputation is to search online for reviews for specific businesses. Many tradies now have a social media presence where you will often find happy (or in the case of less than reputable companies, not so happy) reviews from customers.

But remember, that the internet is the perfect place for anonymous people to cause trouble, so if you see negative reviews it’s always a good idea to see if they look genuine. On more than one occasion, we have seen fellow tradies reputations take a hit when people they have never worked for, or even heard of leave negative reviews which cannot always be removed.

If the tradie has a website, you will often find them proudly displaying testimonials from their happy customers. Nothing makes a business owner happier than to receive positive feedback from customers so they love being able to add these to their sites.
